YRCW NEWS YRC Worldwide Inc. (YRCW) has once again extended the expiration date for its debt-for-equity offer, until 11:59 p.m. December 17, 2009. Other key stakeholders - the company's workers, the pension funds and the company's secured lenders - have already made significant sacrifices as part of the restructuring of the company. The Union will continue to monitor this situation carefully. As developments occur, we will provide updates on the Teamster web site so that our members will have the latest information.

Teamsters Local 952 Coach Operators, mechanics and service workers, and Veolia transportation employees are urging President Obama and Senators Boxer and Feinstein to support the Amendment which will provide transit operations funding. Without this funding transit districts throughout the country face serious service cuts - 40 million dollars in Orange County and 150 million dollars in Los Angeles over the next two years.
